K5 Graduation – 6/7/18
Congratulations to our K5 students on their success; we’re excited to join them in the 1st grade next year at Capitol West Academy!
8th Grade Graduation – 6/6/18
Congratulations to our 8th grade class of 2018 on graduating from Capitol West Academy! We wish you the best of luck in high school and hope to see you again soon.
Special Q4 Assembly – 5/25/18
As a special school assembly for students, some of our teachers and staff competed in a lip sync battle followed by a dance with CWA’s Resident DJ, DJ LoLo!
Mother/Son Dance – 4/19/18
Our Parental Advisory Committee hosted the annual CWA Mother/Son Dance on Friday, May 19!
Donuts with Dad – 4/13/18
Our Parental Advisory Committee hosted the annual Donuts with Dad event, giving students a chance to bond with dad and/or grandpa over donuts at school!
Heroes Day – 3/16/18
On Friday, March 16 our scholars invited their personal heroes for a day of celebration of those that have made a heroic impact on their lives.
Read Across America – 3/2/18
We were excited to have professionals from our local community come to read Dr. Seuss books to our students for Read Across America!
RollerSkating Reward – 2/1/18
41 of our scholars went on a special rollerskating trip with Dr. Anderson for their achievements at CWA! Each student needed to be in school on time, every day and stay all day (without early release) in the first semester (up to 2 absences allowed). Each student could also only have up to 1 behavior referral.
Muffins with Mom – 11/17/17
Our Parental Advisory Committee hosted the annual Muffins with Mom event, giving students a chance to bond with mom and/or grandma over muffins at school!
MATC Day at CWA – 10/31/17
For Milwaukee Area Technical College Day at CWA, MATC staff volunteers introduced students to R2D2, C3PO, and BB8 from Star Wars!
Boo Bash 2017 – 10/30/17
We hosted our annual Boo Bash for students and their families with a theme around math and card games!
First Day of School – 8/31/17
We rolled out the red carpet for Capitol West Academy’s official first day of school (2017-18) for all students during the morning greeting! We’re excited for another fun year with all of our scholars.
Back to School Picnic — 8/23/17
To welcome the new 2017-18 school year, Capitol West Academy hosted a back-to-school picnic for new and returning families!
