Parent Advisory Committee

When parents are involved in building our school community, everyone benefits. The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) empowers Wildcat parents to plan school events, identify problems and solutions, and advise the Capitol West Academy administration.

The PAC sets annual goals and hosts several events and fundraisers throughout the year to support school activities. These include:
  • Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad — Mothers, dads and others significant to students join them for breakfast before school.
  • Back 2 School BBQ — An August picnic brings families and staff together just before the school year starts.
  • Teacher Appreciation Week — Parents help students with activities thanking teachers, such as writing thank you notes and poems and decorating classroom doors illustrating teacher appreciation.
Members of the PAC also provide consultation on fundraising, school policies, and needs surveys. These highly engaged parents understand the needs of other CWA families and can make activity and resource recommendations accordingly.
