The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) recently released its state report cards for the 2016-2017 school year.
Report cards are based on four priority areas:
- Student achievement in English language arts and mathematics;
- Student growth in ELA and math;
- Closing gaps in ELA, math and graduation rates; and
- Postsecondary readiness, including attendance and graduation rates, 3rd grade ELA and 8th grade math.
We are happy to announce that Capitol West Academy earned a score of 76.8, received 4 Stars, and achieved “Exceeds Expectations” status. This, in addition to being recognized as a State and National School of Character, should leave you feeling good about choosing CWA – and feeling very proud of your students!
In addition to striving for educational metrics, CWA continues to teach the core values of self-control, responsibility, honor and determination.
